1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using any tool on toolnest.app, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site.

2. What ToolNest provides

ToolNest offers a set of free, browser-based tools — including a QR code generator, password generator, image compressor, invoice generator, resignation letter generator, cover letter maker, email writer, and spell checker. The tools are provided "as is," free of charge, with no account required.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use ToolNest to:

• Generate content that is illegal, fraudulent, or infringes someone else's rights (for example, creating a QR code that links to a phishing site, or an invoice intended to misrepresent a transaction).
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the site or its backend functions.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the tools themselves as a competing service.

4. Your content and files

Anything you type or upload into a ToolNest tool — text, images, logos, business details — remains yours. For the seven fully local tools, we never receive this content at all, since it's processed entirely in your browser. For Email Writer and Spell Checker, the text you submit is sent to a backend that forwards it to a third-party provider solely to generate the requested result, as described in the Privacy Policy. We don't claim ownership over anything you create using these tools.

5. No warranty

ToolNest's tools are provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We work to keep every tool accurate and reliable — for example, testing QR codes for scannability and validating generated PDFs — but we can't guarantee a tool will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for every specific purpose. Documents you generate (invoices, letters, and similar) should be reviewed by you before relying on them for legal, financial, or professional purposes.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ToolNest and its operator aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or its tools — including, for example, a business decision made based on a generated invoice, or a job application sent using a generated cover letter. You use these tools at your own discretion and are responsible for reviewing their output before relying on it.

7. Third-party services

Two tools rely on third-party providers to function: Email Writer uses Anthropic's API to draft text, and Spell Checker uses LanguageTool's API to check grammar and spelling. Your use of these two tools is also subject to those providers' own terms, to the extent they apply to how your request is processed.

8. Changes to the tools or these terms

We may update, modify, or discontinue a tool at any time, and may update these Terms of Service as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

9. Intellectual property

The ToolNest name, logo, and the site's own code and design are the property of ToolNest and may not be copied or reused without permission. This doesn't apply to content you generate using the tools, which remains yours as described in Section 4.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by general principles of applicable law in the jurisdiction where ToolNest is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining terms stay in effect.
